In the Spring of 1980 Jim Rafferty was elected President, while Rich Burgess was
elected Pledgemaster. In the Fall of the same year, Mike Mongioi succeeded Burgess as
Pledgemaster. Mike was the first to use the new program of pledging after stricter
state laws and standards went into effect.
Jim Rafferty continued his Presidency through Spring 1981, making him the first
President to be re-elected. Andy Mahoney held the Pledgemaster duties for that Spring
as well. In the Fall of 1981, Gary Esposito became president, but only served half his
full term. During that Fall, Mark "Oso" Palen was elected Pledgemaster.
In the Spring of 1981, Craig Hugel became the President, and Robert C. Platt served as
Pledgemaster for the Spring class. In the Fall of the same year, Mark Landon was
elected President. Pledging for this fall was waived by a unanimous decision of the
Brotherhood. Instead the money and time was spent bringing the Brotherhood closer
together.
In the Spring of 1983, Mark Landon became only the second President to be re-elected.
The Brotherhood voted in favor of a Spring Pledge class, and Richard Fierro was elected
Pledgemaster. The Fall Pledge class was waived. The Fall of 1983 President was Joe Rinkunas.
